Harris Poll: VERY interesting developments with the recent Harris poll results. In fact, dare I say that the poll has been politicized, which isn't really news. When polling everyday Americans on some key economic data, about 50% were just plain wrong when asked questions about whether the S&P was up for the year, whether the US is in a recession and whether unemployment is good or bad, with 1/2 saying it was the worst unemployment and, in fact, we're in historically the best.

At first glance, my question was "How could so many be so incorrect about key economic data?" But when zooming out and considering how divided politically this nation is, basically split down the middle, it's obvious this data and the votes to achieve the results, has been influenced by the political party choice of those who answer the question.

If we can't even get objective, let alone right or wrong, answers to poll questions, are we too far gone as a nation?

I probably find this situation more fascinating than I should.
