This may be on the fringe of the topic of this thread, but I think you folks here are the ones I want to ask since you have your own computers and, I assume, use them for remote trading. My question does at least have hardware implications.

Is it realistic for you traders with your multiple monitors full of real time information to be linked to your data and execution servers by modem (28.8kbps?, 56kbps?), or are you all working in the realm of frame relay, ISDN with high speed serial cards, or what ??? How should my dream machine connect to the rest of the world?
