Fairness is owed to defendants, per our constitution.
Where does it say that "fairness" is only owed to defendants?

In the case of Trump, the gag orders were meant to protect witnesses and court staff from intimidation.

You know, just like what you did when you followed Trump's orders and referred to a previously unknown law clerk as "Schumer's girlfriend."
