Thanks for posting the article from Electronic News. The comments about Thomson (RCA-GE) not having to make a profit since it is state-owned were very, very interesting. Supposedly, the EU is limiting the ways that state-owned companies can be subsidized in order to foster competition. I don't know how much success that will have, and the EU may well not care about unfair competition against non-European companies, but from the article it would seem that if in the future Thomson faces the need to operate profitably, it could be a huge plus for ZE in their boring old TV business that no one is even contemplating. ==John
