Charles,

I think there were several catalysts for the recent surge:

1) eps surprise--a huge one;

2) Lucent's announcement of strategic initiatives: aggressive acquisitions much in the manner of CSCO and establishment of a major Silicon Valley division;

3) rumored "close partnership" with CSCO short of a marriage. (more likely to occur than a NT/CSCO alliance, IMHO.

These are exciting times.....
