...more about Space Cadet Maggie, Carol and Peter, Yes, Maggie is a very beautiful dog... Very gentle and quiet and rarely ever more than a few feet from my side. She is a great one for maintaining a lot of eye contact with me as she tries to anticipate what I am about to do all day long. She often correctly guesses what is about to happen by whichever jacket or shoes I am putting on... I occasionally work on call and she positively hates to see me putting on my work boots and whimpers most mournfully at the sight of them... (-: I have shared my life with Collies for many years now and find that they are very intelligent and easy to work with... quiet, patient, passive dogs which are content so long as they can be near you. Like many of the large Scotch Collies, Maggie is very relaxed and saunters along a few feet ahead of me while hiking, or lies quietly at my feet with her nose on the gunwales of my canoe when I'm out paddling on a creek or in a marsh. We have had many great adventures together... ;-} Croc
