Ukraine's Defense Intelligence intercepted a conversation between Russians about the alleged evacuation of the Russian military from Belgorod.

"People are being evacuated from Belgorod. Well, that's how I understood it. Both the mobilized and these conscripts, and contract soldiers, and the closest people who live nearby. Do you understand? Where they can't fight back. Well, in short, something's coming, as I understand it," the Russian woman said in the intercepted conversation.

Ukraine has recently been allowed to strike at Russian territory with Western weapons, including American HIMARS systems.

Ukraine is allowed to strike at Russia

Western countries, the United States especially, began arming Ukraine even before the full-scale invasion of Russia. During the war, it provided the Ukrainian army with various artillery and missile systems, as well as long-range missiles. However, these weapons were not allowed to strike the territory of Russia.

But that changed in late May, a few weeks after Russia launched its offensive in the Kharkiv region. Several NATO nations stated that they were not opposed to striking Russia with their weapons. Recently the United States also lifted the restrictions on strikes on Russian territory but it applies only to the border area and does not include ATACMS missiles.

How strikes by Western weapons on Russian territory will help Ukraine in the war, read in RBC-Ukraine's article.
