I see a future where those who are connected to the grid pay more and more BECAUSE...

more and more people will DIY their own solar. So someone has to pay for the infrastructure of the utilities and that will be people who cannot afford the initial outlay for solar roofs and batteries. Poor people are going to be screwed.

Its a no brainer... plus utilities saddled with nuclear waste storage and mothballed nuclear power stations have to continue to pay AND pay for socialized insurance.

Home Solar is getting cheaper and cheaper and easier and easier. One thing that is expensive/hard is connecting solar to the grid. I hope to avoid that in my next home.

Learn: DIY Solar Facebook 331,000 members. I have never heard of anyone who gets solar regretting it.

We're closer and closer to turnkey modular battery/electric systems. Plug in your panels, plug it into your electrical box... good to go.
