Nuseirat victims say they were given no warning before attack Tareq Abu Azzoum Reporting from Deir el-Balah, Gaza It is another tragic morning in the central area of Gaza, particularly in the Nuseirat refugee camp, where an overnight attack targeted a UN-run school housing hundreds of displaced Palestinian families. In addition, a residential house was destroyed. At least 39 Palestinians have been reported killed in those attacks. Bodies of those killed are being laid on the ground inside the morgue of Al-Aqsa Hospital, which is currently operating at three times its official capacity. We’ve been talking to a number of families at the hospital. They say they did not receive any prior warning before the attack. A woman who lost her son said: “We are not yet safe. We went to evacuation centres run by the United Nations in order to afford ourselves some protection, but we have been attacked.” It seems there is no safe place across the Strip.
