IBX, It is not about initial cost. It is about TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), security and control. That includes a lot more than the $1k initial cost of PC. TCO for a PC has been estimated from $6k to $8.5K. Talk to some IS folks about control . They don't like putting out little fires all over the place (as one frequently finds with PC clients). MSFT is hedging on this one big time. Already has base, but just made BIG deal with Citrix for license for major parts of PiCasso, CTXS's thin server software. Also, dumb(text) terminals may be dead except for high transaction rate applications. RW
