Donald Trump Gun License Potentially Being Revoked Sparks MAGA Outrage

Anumber of Donald Trump supporters have lashed out at the claims the New York Police Department is planning to revoke the former president's license to carry a gun following his felony conviction.
Trump's concealed carry license was suspended in April 2023 after the former president was charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records. Trump had three pistols registered under this permit, two of which were handed over to the NYPD last April, and a third legally transferred to Florida, according to The New York Times, citing unnamed sources.
The NYPD is now said to be preparing to revoke Trump's carry license after he was found guilty of all the felony charges against him in his hush money trial. It is a federal crime to be in possession of a firearm while being a convicted felon.
Newsweek reached out to the NYPD via email for comment.
Trump loyalists and supporters of the MAGA agenda have now hit out at the reports that the former president could have his concealed carry license revoked.
The @Travis_4_Trump social media account, which has more than 423,000 followers on X, formerly Twitter, posted: "Are you getting it yet? They convicted him on a ridiculous crime, and now they want to remove his secret service and any way to protect himself. Democrats are evil people."
Nick Sortor, an independent journalist who regularly appears on right-wing news outlets and podcasts, said: "NYPD is preparing to revoke President Trump's license to carry a firearm. Meanwhile, ACTUAL criminals continue to run around armed and free. Get out of New York."
Trump supporter Huey Jack posted: "I know this comes with a felony conviction but man is that scary to see. Pay off your side chick [adult film star Stormy Daniels] lose the ability to protect your life as one of the most hated men in America."Another Trump supporter, James Parker, posted: "Now you see what they are up to, going after him for some BS and trying to take away everything they possibly can in his life. Gun control is all about control."
