Brumar,
You say "an eye for an eye" was only to protect Jews but then you chicken out of explaining that.
To be sure, I think Joachim was talking about "turn the other cheek," not "eye for an eye."

Doesn't matter, though. Joachim is a heretic who contradicts himself all the time.

He claims "eye for an eye" is a Christian concept but can't back it up with New Testament scripture.

He openly declares that he doesn't follow the Old Testament, even though every single Christian denomination in the world has declared both the Old and the New Testaments to be canon.

And now he comes up with a lame excuse for not following one of Jesus' most powerful, unique, and identifiable commands, namely "turn the other cheek."

It is one of the most well-known commands from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. It was revolutionary at the time, and still is even 2000 years later.

To reject it is to basically reject Jesus himself.
