JWN: "what i observe anecdotally doesn't count for much. I went into a nordstrom;s rack where I live and was disappointed. nothing of interest and prices were not low as compared to ross or even costco."

I see this: At my local Nordstrom Rack today Sunday 3:30 pm: Five checkout clerks working. Maybe a 6th folding clothes for packaging. Line 13 long.

I have reported this several times -- my local Nordstrom rack seems busy every time I go there (including midday or weekdays). Hence my expressed comment that Nordstrom should be or should consider increasing their Rack stores -- they seem (to me) to be doing much better business than their upscale Nordstrom stores. And I believe I've read that Nordstrom is doing just that now.

I'm ok with holding a small JWN position. If stock drops back down again, I intend to increase my position. Buyout by Nordstrom family is still a possibility.
