>>Pancho - Your analysis was very good. BFIThas very creative accountants, they know how to conform to GAAP and get the CPA Firm to sign on the dotted line. However, all these accounting gimmicks are just time bombs. <<

BellBoy. Comments like yours make it worthwhile to spend the time presenting the material in writing to SI members. I apologize for all the typos these write ups have. I do it in real time; then, when I read themover I notice al the typos, missing words, words that meant to be typed but never made it to the keyborad, etc. Following requires effort and creativity. Still, I am glad someone reads them besides me.

On EVA, it is one of may tools that may be useful in assessing a company's value, particularly mature ones like BFIT in which growth is not a key factor in the valuation.

PS: No offense intended but anyone that is familiar with the backgrounds of the kids working at Janus [managing funds] should recognizes that my experience and training goes about half a mile further [despite the total lack of information on the SI profile]. Janus funds, Fidelity Contrafund and Pionner are long BFIT. Take note if you are long any of these.
