It's no wonder investor owned utilities are dropping coal fired generation in droves.. It cannot compete on cost anymore. Then there is the pollution nightmare it propagates. Cleanup costs. Just too many mitigation problems for it compared to RE and especially storage. Dead man walking... Not for very long! Terminal
