Trading has been suspended on the Moscow Stock Exchange after the ruble dropped below two hundred to the U.S. dollar. Previously analysts have said that dropping below a hundred rubles per dollar would indicate big economic problems.
There is now a run on banks throughout russia as russians stampede to take out their rubles and trade them on the black market for dollars at whatever exchange rate they can get. All the russian banks are now shutting down their websites, preventing any electronic transfers of funds.

Russian consumers know that the rate will be worse tomorrow and going forward.
