Do you let the in the money calls expire and get exercised on you, or do you roll them forward to higher strikes?

I have a similar situation going on with SIMO. I've sold lots of covered calls, and unexpectedly SIMO has moved higher as it seems to have caught the "AI buzz". I've generally been able to roll the in the money calls forward three months to a $2.50 higher strike, and make between 20 cents and $2.00 doing it (depending on how deep in the money the call strike is).

I feel like now I'm chasing the share price higher.
