*unlike everyone else* Hungary is kind of a unique case in Europe. having been founded around 900AD by complete tribes. This means that the population was culturally and physically homogenous, and was distinct in language which helped maintain the isolation. The other countries of Europe assembled during the great migration period as the Western Roman Empire was breaking up about 300AD. They were a mixture of different groups and in many cases more men than women migrated, which meant the migrant men mated with the indigenous Celts. More diverse groups moved in later, especially with the decline of Christianity around the Mediterranean 1100 AD . Viktor Orban is less about freedom in Europe, and more about becoming an independent kingdom again.
