Why the Demise of the Chevron Rule Is a Blow to Climate Action –

Dear Diary. As many of my readers know, the top judiciary branch of the U.S. has become quite conservative after Trump selected three judges during his term. Currently the Supreme Court consists of six conservative justifies and only three liberal judges…a supermajority of conservative judges.

So, it’s no surprise that a big ruling came down from the high court taking place from the federal government and putting it in the hands if states and operations. This Chevron ruling is bad for our climate and other items such as food safety regulation. Going forward, the Supreme Court will be beholden to the oil and gas industry, deregulating the thing. If Grump gets reelected watch for the spigots of drill baby drill to be fully open in 2025.
