Re: Portfolio Management for Growth Investors ...

I sent out a text today to alert the folks I manage portfolios for, both young and old, that I will be looking to increase their exposure to the S&P 500 via SPY primarily. I say primarily because I will also be adding to SPMO, which is a momentum fund based on the S&P 500.

I will also be adding small amounts to SSO which is a 2x the S&P 500 fund. I say small because it will take a big hit in a correction but it is my belief that over time the market always heads higher. Therefore people will have to take the short term pain that comes with market volatility. I don't want too much volatility to break their spirit, so I'll keep the positions much smaller.

I've been investing for over 40 years and I still get butterflies in the stomach, but when I put things in proper perspective, I have taught them how to fly in formation.

I'm staying the course.
