Why 1998 will be another good year for all investors? Most of the 18,000 bankruptcies each year are small and miss-managed companies. The numbers never changed much in good years or bad years.

Having said that, we have to look at the economy to see how it is going to perform? The economy is in two parts: Supply side and demand side. The supply side of military procurement is now slightly down. the supply side of government wages and salary is up 2.9 percent. Social security payments are up 2.1% for individuals. Medicare and medicaid are slightly declining due to good health of senior citizens. Health care is good food, good times and no (money) stress, not catastrophe insurance.

The demand side is controlled by obsolescense and replacement of products and services for ever higher standard of living. This year land development will go up 10% again. Wealth of owning equity may reach a top, but wealth in real estate ownership is coming back.

With both stocks and bonds appreciating, then add on the real estate investments; this country will be the richest, more than just the government, but the small people too.
