SEOUL, Feb 19 (Reuters) - Samsung Electronics Co Ltd, the flagship unit
of South Korea's
Samsung Group (SAGR.CN), said on Thursday it was negotiating ways to
expand cooperation
with Intel Corp, the world's largest microprocessor manufacturer.
''Topics in the negotiations include a capital injection by Intel, a
stable memory supply by
Samsung and others,'' said a Samsung spokesman. ''But the talks with
Intel are at their initial
stage.''
Intel already has a 10 percent stake in Samsung Austin (Texas)
Semiconductor Inc, Samsung
Electronics' subsidiary in the United States.
