Duane,

I agree, Korea is in serious trouble and the cost for upgrade is high, but we have to see what "the fools" in Washington do with the IMF funds to know how Korea actually benefits, and they will benefit.

Japan and especially Taiwan are the real threats and I do not know how to assess the magnitude and timeframe, but they should have a direct impact on LSI business.

Besides I was just trying to rationalize LSI's lethargic behavior lately, over and above Kurlak's negative statements.(maybe a mistake)

Probably short term AMAT might suffer somewhat, as SEA migrates away from DRAM. When they get into logic devices, AMAT and the like will probably start to pick up again...maybe 6 months to a year at minimum. Companies, like our pet Teradyne, I believe will continue to do well with little slowdown...since new chips are more involved in their testing and this still seems to be the biggest bottleneck for increasing supply.

Good Luck Trading
