Re <<EU hits Chinese electric cars with new tariffs>> ... is good to great to fantastic news, for BYD, and less good, or very extremely bad for Nio and and and, and ultimate un-good for Tesla, for Tesla shall find itself out-competed everywhere inside BRICS+ (set up systemically to be unable to do sanctions against other member states), and unless do Tesla hybrids, done in by BYD everywhere else

EV tariff does not bother BYD hybrids built in China, and all BYDs built outside of China using China parts

IOW, Team EU and Team USA, by sanctioning sources, is in truth helping Team China to rationalise and consolidate international markets and China domestic sources, even to the extent of withdrawing from some markets like Russia, and reducing harmful competition at China home

More interestingly, Team EU just did a best-use by on own traditional car industry to make way for new hybrid entrants.

So, you can clear see that <<EU hits Chinese electric cars with new tariffs>> must be celebrated, like just so

BYD’s latest plug-in hybrid platform allows vehicles to travel non-stop for more than 2,000 kilometers — the distance between Singapore and Bangkok — without recharging or refueling, and was introduced in two models that sell for under 100,000 yuan ($13,750). Plug-in hybrids occupy the middle ground between traditional gas-powered vehicles and full EVs, and is being touted as a potential area for future growth as sales of pure EVs become saturated.
