Telecom (OTC:FTEL) Announces the Purchase of the San Francisco 49ers from the Dibartalo family. The teams name will remain the same but 3COM park (fixed it Deb) will be changed to Frank Peters field.
Frank Peters the founder of the Internet conglomerate Franklin Telecom traded on the NASDAQ exchange under symbol FTEL, is said to be ecstatic over the finalization of this deal. A long time fan he will be a very hands on owner. His son Michael will take over as team president, and will be in charge of the day to day management of the team. Mr Vic Klimpl the team spokesman said that the transition from the current management to the new will be very smooth. Indeed he said"we will make it a point to boot their fannies out ASAP." When asked about the low attendance over the last 2 years since the coaching change over. Mr Klimpl said "the fans will come if the product is good enough! if they dont jimmy crack corn and I dont care"
Mr peters apparently used the $450,000,000 received in the sale of his telco company FNET to Worldcom last month;
