Hogging: Shout "national security!" and the capital stays at home. The American interests know if Microsoft puts the technology in Kenya, it will open the floodgates. They want to nip it in the bud.

What will happen?
All efforts by the US ambassador to Kenya Meg Whitman will go to waste once Trump puts a new ambassador here after he wins.

However, the value of the Ecocloud data center will not vanish because Microsoft will leave.

Hogging is not sustainable:
Where is the data being created daily stored? Please take a look at the pie chart on the left. In the middle, you can see international traffic growth to and from North America.
On the left, you see the amount of data created in 15 years. It grew 90 times. Given that rate of growth, can North America keep up with it?
Building more data centers and more submarine cable capacity?
