The majority of the data is created by China and EMEA. Most of the data stored in the US is foreign data. The whole data center distribution is an anomaly. Australia has 26 million people but has double Brazil's data center capacity. India has half the data center capacity of Mexico and Switzerland has as many data centers as Africa.

Which brings us to AI and value. Data is the new oil. The data that exists online, estimates suggest that the figure was about 175 zettabytes in 2022. The countries that have the data, can extract, measure, analyze, and—above all—monetize data. Conclusion: Some countries are data rich and some countries are data poor.
