Same as before.

Remember, Brandon got nominated not because he was a particularly strong candidate, but because he was the least bad option among a whole slate of bad options, including:
  • Bernie
  • Fauxcahontas
  • Brenda
  • Random billionaire Bloomberg
  • Random billionaire Steyer
  • sPaRtAcUs
  • Tulsi
  • Francis (a.k.a. Beto)

Among those choices, only Bernie had a good measure of populist appeal. (I thought Fauxcahontas would as well, but her candidacy fizzled.)
