The United States fought a civil war to free slaves. It cost over 600k lives at a time when the entire population was 31 million. We did more than any other nation on earth to right a wrong. 200+ years later the black population wants reparations from the taxpayers. These aren't former slaves nor was I a slave owner so why should I pay? What about the countries that sold them as slaves - what is their responsibility? Slavery was wrong but the people alive today were not slave owners. Black people alive today have never been slaves - that was over 6 generations ago. The decline of black culture in America has nothing to do with slavery - it has everything to do with the decay of the nuclear family. My advice - get an education, then get a job and stop making babies to increase your welfare benefits. The facts is - fat parents have fat kids, stupid parents have stupid kids, welfare parents have kids on welfare, teen mothers have daughters that become pregnant as teenagers. The cycle needs to be broken for both black and white Americans.
