Though it is nowhere near as awful as what has been happening south of the border, we in southern BC are suffering under a heat wave, with dozens of high temperature records being broken over the weekend, and now it is spreading east into Alberta and beyond. Fortunately up here it is no heat dome, with night time temperatures dropping to 16C or so to give some relief. Tonight should be the worst of it, with temperatures gradually moderating over the week ahead. Now the province is waiting on tenterhooks to see what happens with wildfires. LC
