Produce a battery that can store energy and retrofit our homes for under 10 grand and the conversion will happen quickly. Can't be done without bankrupting the US and people are unwilling to spend 25-40k even if it's financed over 30 years. The cost benefit is almost zero for existing homes. A 60-80k electric car? Screw that - I'll be dead before climate change becomes a huge issue. let the next generation worry about it. Each generation needs a problem to fix from the previous generations. It's the American way
