Here's the deal. A president is good precisely because he can put together a good staff. Individuals don't do squat in a government as complex as the US govt. Competent, decent, thoughtful teams are what accomplish good things. Biden does that, Trump does not. That is the long and short of it. My main criticism of Biden is that he doesn't emphasize that fact. He has been saying things like, "I did this, I did that, who else could have done it?" He should be saying, "I put together a great team of people who do great things together. I am their leader but I couldn't do anything without them. We did these things together. And that is a key difference between me and Trump." Or something like that. It isn't a bad thing, it is a good thing. A commendable thing. It is what good leaders do. re: Biden's legacy is destroyed because soon the questions will come of what unelected person actually made the decisions. Did Biden do any of the things we give him credit for or was it a chief of staff or someone else who pushed agendas and got things done.
