It is quite irrelevant whether the shooter was a registered Dem or Registered Republican. I know plenty of people in NY and Nevada who are Registered Democrats, but always vote Republican because they want to vote for the more moderate Dem in the primary. The same holds true for Registered Republicans who tend to vote Democrat. Plus, some Unions pressure their members to register as Democrats.
