Which is exactly what I was waiting for.

The first thing we hear is about the shooting
The second thing we hear is about gun control and it usually comes up within the same hour of reporting.

There will be an opportunity to discuss gun control but lets remain focused on the tragedy first.

Gun control is most likely going to be a non starter in the US. I don't own a handgun and won't allow one in my home but it's not my right to tell others that they can't own a handgun
