Leo, thanks for sharing a pick with us. This one looks to need a careful (for me -g-) look at the financials before I bite! But having seen some of your stuff perform, I think it's worth doing.
More debt than I like, at about 22 million apiece short and long term, while short term assets were 43 million, longterm assets 53 million, as of Dec. 1 last year. Shareholders equity is 9 million (on 3.3 million shares). Company has a "sporadic" earnings history. Needs to be a turnaround story, which I'm not very experienced at evaluating.
Anyone know the products through personal experience (GPS & sonar for boating & hiking/recreation)? Seems like possibly a very competitive area, but also one with growth and "stock-hype" potential (this is good, if not in the price already).
Do you (or anyone who knows the investors) have any thoughts on the recent 13G's... Feb. 10, Kennedy Capital Mgmt Inc., of St. Louis with 7.8% and Feb. 17, Northern Trust/Northern Trust Bank of Florida/ Northern Trust Quantitative Advisors with 15.9%? guess it's nice to have some institutional interest, especially if someone knowledgeable (like MB) has positive views on these institutions (I know, they're just geeks -g-).
The board purchase was not on the open market, but represented options exercise and (mostly) an unregistered private placement.
Thinly traded is right!
Still investigating,
Cheers,
