Jul 9, 2024 A microeconomic case study/thought experiment at a Russian household level focusing on potatoes and food sustainability. It highlights the spreading malnutrition in Russia caused by Moscow's geopolitical ambitions. The Russian economy is weak, causing great economic strain on the poor people living in the countryside of Russia. The Russian people at this point, because of cultural and political conditioning, are unable to support themself. As the economy worsens, the continued misallocation of resources to the geopolitical situation in Ukraine exacerbates existing malnutrition. In this video, I describe a definition of starvation, which can be quantified. If we want to make the world a better place, the world has to recognize and understand this. The Russian economy is heading for a depression, and the common Russian people are unprepared and, at this point, and realistically, as I convey, incapable of doing anything about it.
