not to be like the washington press corps parsing all of clinton's words BUT, having listened to the cc and relistened to the cc I think there might be signs of life in Sequent. In response to a question re: the architectural incompatability and what originally went wrong with with sequent and Cal Nelson said ;

" as far as our going back to sequent and trying to reopen the door there again we have a non disclosure in place as we have talked in the past, though some of our large scale switching capabilities were of some interest to them in the past and so we do have a little bit of a door there , but that's all I can say."

Subjectively, Nelson especially seemed more upbeat then previously and Hendricksen seemed very positive in tone also, fwiw.

p.s. bet those 2 didn't know that us SI guys can be as tough as the d.c. press corps!
