So basically this radical right wing Trump supporting father, who has a gun fetish and worships the 2nd Amendment called the police because he knew his mentally ill, bullied, suicidal son, who also had a gun fetish and was a radicalized right wing Trump supporter, was missing along with his AR-15, which is every mass murderers weapon of choice. He didn't do anything to stop him before this all went down because that would violate his 2nd Amendment right, which is the most important thing in the world for gun fetish, Trump cultists. The 2nd Amendment after all protects the rights of the Reich wing to mass murder anyone they want, even ex presidents.
