It's hard to overstate what a colossal blunder this was by CrowdStrike (CRWD). It's a huge black eye for a quickly growing company that is the market leader in corporate cybersecurity for what they do. This should help their competitors like S and PANW, at least in the short term. I had always been wary of CRWD being vulnerable to flaws in the software that hackers could exploit if it caused outages that would hurt the stock, but I didn't consider they might accidentally do it to themselves. CRWD currently down about 15% in premarket, though it had been down over 20% at one point. We'll see how it does once the market opens.
