Sorry to inform you that your e grid is powered by fossil fuels My grid going by my home is 97% powered by renewables and soon to be 100% I also feed my excess solar generation into that grid that I cannot use. That helps my neighbors. A number of grids here in Washington State are 100% renewables mostly hydro.
