All that is happening here is the reseller has more to do. As a reseller, if IBM gives me more to do, I will be steering my prospects in another direction. "Assured by the assemblers presence", how is this different from business as usual? When IBM products fail, the reseller has always taken the flack. What's new? OS must be configured? Have you ever sold an IBM PC? Did IBM preconfigure OS2? Resellers bundle Win95 in a standard configuration. The public has to undo the mess.
