This is all about creating leverage against Iran. Sometimes the choices to prevent world wars and terrorism require complicated choices. The far left and the far right in the US and other key countries won't like anything the Biden government does and they will create noise-- but the signal is there for anyone to see.

Saudi Arabia is critical to balance in the middle east so a full scale war does not occur.

That does not mean that the Saudi government should not be condemned for the bone saw killing. Or Israel for the lack of targeting in its efforts to destroy Hamas.

Or Russia and Israel should not be making collateral damage a tactic. Losing the moral high ground may win battles but it loses wars. The US had its tragic lessons in SE Asia with Agent Orange, cluster mines and Mai Lai - we lost the war. Of course the US rightwing argued we needed more not less genocide to "beat the communists." Now those "communists" are an ally in the region.
