This is a weird story.
Way back in 1990 Dynasty actress Catherine Oxenberg flatly denied dating Donald Trump and said she hardly knew him.
In recent years she has been a supporter of Trump. She also contributed $50,000 to the gofundme page established for Corey Comperatore, the fire chief who was killed when Trump was shot at the Butler, PA rally.
On Tuesday, Trump posted a gushing review of Oxenberg's 2018 book "Captive: A Mother's Crusade to Save Her Daughter from a Terrifying Cult" telling his supporters to buy it. (But no one seems to have done so, per Amazon's ranking)
Where it turns really odd is that he posted the book's cover, where right under the title it states "with Natasha Stoynoff" a common way to acknowledge the book was ghostwritten. In late 2005, Stoynoff, then a staff writer for People, traveled to Mar-a-Lago to interview Donald Trump and his pregnant bride, Melania, for a story on their 1st wedding anniversary. When Melanie left the room, she alleges Trump assaulted her. She was one of the witnesses at E. Jean Carroll's lawsuit against Trump.
All I can think of as to why Trump would do this is that Oxenberg's mother is Princess Elizabeth of Yugoslavia, making her related to several European Royal Families. Plus she twice portrayed Princess Diana in TV movies. |
