You are who you are in private, when you don't expect to be observed, when you're not going to get credit for it. That's when true character is evidenced.

I'm surprised you think that joking gets one a pass, that privacy gets one a pass. You do know what character is, don't you?

And Bill, Jesus doesn't get you a pass, either. You may be forgiven but that doesn't add to your character score. You can only learn from it and grow going forward.


Like most anti-Trumpism

I'm not talking politics but philosophy. Character is what's inside a person, the quality of his values and principles and whether he has the grit to hold to them. The only think that has to do with politics is whether we still expect those we elevate to have it.
