I read it when it came out, actually, and recommended it to many friends who didn't have any conception of who the people Vance wrote about were or why they thought the way they do. My view of Vance himself changed since I read it. Not quite as much as his view of himself and Trump changed. So, now that we have your supposition that I'm ignorant about where he came from, what he wrote in the book, and the like, how about you defend any one of the statements he's made that are in the news since his nomination to the ticket. Surely you can do better than Vance did on his "cat lady" backtrack yesterday, eh?
