not only republicans after him :) You know Beijing did not really great control over the lower branches.. Maybe that is XI's goal ? I dunno.. Communism does not work because it kills initiative in most folks it is far worse than democracy at concentrating power in the hands of elites it promotes autocracy (corollary) From the notebooks of Lazarus Long Democracy is based on the assumption that a million men are wiser than one man. How's that again? I missed something. Autocracy is based on the assumption that one man is wiser than a million men. Let's play that over again, too. Who decides? When populations are small more folks have skin and a direct say.. Communism leads to autocracy, Democracy leads to inaction barring an imminent calamity... even then :) I am surprised at times that dithering is not a synonym for democracy :) OK it's a gorgeous day.. heading off for some highway curves on the Harley, secondary country highways.. :)
