The border was being controlled under Trump

No, it wasn't. Allowing fewer illegals in that might have come otherwise is not controlling the border. Not by a long shot.

would have been controlled even better had dems not blocked his border wall funding.

First of all, Trump had a Republican House at the time. They were instrumental in denying funding. And second, that would not have fixed the problem. The most you can legitimately claim as accomplishment during the Trump administration is somewhat fewer entrants. However an uglier mess. (Separating kids without providing the wherewithal for potential reunification of families is inhumane.)

Be that as it may, I am still not seeing a rational basis for supporting a second Trump term based on that. that's just not good enough. Perhaps your rationale, if you have one, is something you would expect from Trump in a second term.

In fairness, I can't envision a fix from either candidate in a second term. But the question on the table is why prefer Trump and that is not apparent, not in this subject area. Perhaps you could find a good "why" in one of the others.
