Tenchu's Thoughts: Wake up Republicans! Brenda Could Win! (Part 1)

Let's first start with the reason why Trump is so popular. It's because most people feel completely ignored and disenfranchised by the political establishment. It's completely understandable that many of them will put their hopes in perhaps the MOST "anti-establishment" candidate ever to have entered politics in modern history.

However, said "anti-establishment" candidate rubs many people the wrong way, including those in the same category of disenfranchised voters. Among those are young liberals who had to tolerate four years of the Mango Mussolini, then four years of Weekend At Bernie's. They may have grown up under the Obama years, but "Hope and Change" is looking more and more like a distant memory.

That's why Brenda's ascension is so important. Despite her piss-poor record as vice-president, she is reinvigorating a Democratic Party that, up until recently, was struggling to create any sort of excitement. Young voters, especially young women, no longer feel complete despair over politics. They now have the multi-racial "checkbox" candidate with a real resume and real experience in politics, even if most of it was unearned.

One more thing. I'm sure you noticed how the media immediately turned Brenda into the next political celebrity. They're taking it upon themselves not to "repeat the same mistakes" (notice the quotes) that they made with Hillary.

(Remember that the media has already forsaken any semblance of impartiality. They look back at Hillary's emails and wonder why they spent so much time covering that story when Trump brought so many worse things into the picture. They look back at Hillary's main weakness, mainly her trustworthiness, and wonder why they even made it a newsworthy story. Trust me, they won't "repeat the same mistakes" again.)

This is the uphill battle that Trump now finds himself waging. And although I think Trump relishes a good challenge, I also think Trump is becoming more and more unhinged as time goes on.

More on that later ...
