In fact I think it was political suicide to reverse Roe, even though it was a bad legal logic.
Agreed.
It's why Trump is making it very clear that a federal ban will never happen. Even if that message falls on deaf ears.
And there you go, the dilemma that is now facing the Trump campaign.

Trump would have to come out even more in favor of abortion than ever before, if he wants to convince people that he's serious.

I don't think Trump will do that, though. Instead, he'll just counterattack Brenda on one of her numerous weak points, such as her record as "Border Czar."
