HUGE ALYD NEWS!!!

Thomson Selects Compuware, Alydaar,
MTS People Source For Year 2000 Administration

February 19, 1998 - Charlotte, NC... Thomson Consumer Electronics, Inc., makers of consumer electronics products bearing the RCA, GE, and PROSCAN brands, has selected Compuware Corporation (NASDQ: CPWR), Alydaar Software Corporation (NASDQ: ALYD), and MTS People Source to administer the company's Year 2000 compliance program.

The contract calls for Compuware to provide overall program administration, automated testing tools, and professional services to assist Thomson with its testing process. Alydaar will perform remediation of Thomson?s legacy programs, primarily MVS/COBOL. MTS People Source will provide package assistance and will work with Compuware to establish test strategies and plans.

"Our Year 2000 project team is confident the professional services, tools, and methods provided by the partnership of Compuware, Alydaar, and MTS will successfully resolve the Y2K issues associated with Thomson's mission-critical business applications," said Tom Kerby, Thomson's General Manager-Corporate Information Systems.

"We are pleased Thomson has selected the Compuware, Alydaar, and MTS team to provide a Year 2000 solution," added Steve Fagan, Compuware's Senior Vice President-Professional Services.

Alydaar Chief Executive Officer Robert Gruder stated, "I believe the
fix-it, test-it combination of Alydaar, Compuware, and MTS provides the premier Year 2000 solution available today. Thomson has demonstrated a serious effort to become Year 2000-compliant on time and with a dedicated Year 2000 team."

MTS President Lou Marcoccia commented, "MTS is delighted to work with Thomson to assist them with their Year 2000 project."

The Year 2000 issue results from computer programs written in the 1970s and 1980s that recognize years only as two-digit numbers. Thus, a 00 reading for the year 2000 may cause an error in many programs or could be interpreted as 1900. The worldwide cost to repair the Year 2000 problem is estimated to be in excess of $600 billion.
